Email program - eM Client or Thunderbird?

#Post

Two months ago, I got a new computer that has been set up with eM Client. I have found eM Client difficult to use - it's quite different from what I've been used to and doesn't do things that I think it should.
So I'm asking should I return to Thunderbird since I used it successfully for many years (with Windows XP) until the old PC died?
Also, I heard that there have recently been problems with Thunderbird - but it always worked fine for me.
Any advice would be appreciated in regards to the two email programs.

Why use some bundled thing if you don't like it? It's not a requirement. The second thing I do after installing an O/S is removing all the bits I don't want, and installing all the software I do want.

emclient is slow and clunky.
