Radio reception question

| 1 | My partner listens to talkback radio (Newstalk ZB) while doing housework, just using a small pocket radio on AM. However increasingly of late the AM broadcast is going off the air, and FM reception where we live seems to be quite poor. We can get the FM broadcast on our kitchen radio but seems to need the telescopic antenna up.
