Which browser has the best and easiest Favourites

#Post

section. I am thinking about changing browsers as Microsoft Edge has been updated and the Favourites part of it is so much more fiddly. Half the time I cannot find what I have put into favourites. I am not up with the play that much with computers, but I found it much easier to use the old Edge. The favs on that were great. Nice and easy to find. Hubby and I just want something easy to use. Thanks for any help.

But but, honestly it's not much different to use the favorites in Edge than it is in Firefox, Chrome, or many others.

Take a look at the pic here you will see I have my favorites in folders on the 'bookmarks toolbar' You can put individual sites on there or folders and fill those folders up. And then you can put folders within folders. All the browsers let you do this as far as I'm aware:

Also once you have favorites saved there you can left click and drag them around if you wish so they're easier to find or you can right click on them and you get a menu with options ...........

I did look at them a little while ago. Is it fairly easy to use and find things? I can never seem to find what I put things into favourite bar.

My goodness, you are so much better than me at doing that kind of thing nice-lady. I will have a look at it again. What about Google Chrome. I see there are a few more, Opera, Safari. To name but a few.

Chrome works very much the same as Edge in this respect. It's also the most popular browser in the world for what I imagine are good reasons. Safari I have little to do with and couldn't really comment on and I do use Opera but only on the Android phone for a browser. It has the best text zoom/wrap function by FAR of the mobile browsers and it has a rather good favorites system called ''speed dial". I haven't bothered with it on the computer.

Personally, Firefox, Chrome, Edge are all very similar.
With all three you can RIGHT click, (single click), on the bookmarks toolbar and add a folder or do other stuff. It's pretty easy with a little practise.

With Firefox, Chrome, Edge when you go to save a new bookmark click on the 'star' to save and then in the little box that pops up it gives you the option of where to put the new bookmark. Use 'choose another folder' and you will see ALL the bookmark bar folders you have you can then click on one of those and click OK/Done etc and that's it. You can afterwards go to any folder and LEFT clik on a bookmark, (single clik), hold the mouse button down and DRAG that bookmark to any other folder if you want.

Have a look at Opera
https://www.opera.com
The speed dial is an intuitive and visual way of using your favorites
You can nest favs within favs.
You also have the normal bookmarks bar.
Theres also extensions for chrome, ffox etc that do similar..

I changed from Firefox to Chrome after Firefox started crashing. It instantly solved the problem. Also tried Edge which had the same problem. I found that both Edge and Firefox were using around 80% of memory which caused the crashing. Chrome only uses around 60% of memory. It is also faster than Firefox and Edge.
All this depends on how much memory you have. Check task manager and if you are using over 70%, I recommend changing to Chrome.
