I need to contact the owner of a next door property regarding a property boundary issue. The house has been rented out for at least 20 years, dont know who the owner is. The last tenant left 6 months ago, rental agency no longer have the owner as a customer so cannot get details from them. Suspect owner living overseas. Any ideas how I can get contacts for the owner?

See the local council, they have to provide you with address for rates unless the owner has requested it to be withheld.

If no joy with above, buy a copy of the Certificate of Title online from qv.co.nz or terranet.co.nz and google the owners - hopefully you'll find some online presence.
