Has any one else found that the special prices for VIP have not come off?
We have been overcharged on a few things.

I noticed that you cannot enter your VIP number on online sales.

Haven't tried their online shopping yet.
I finally got a chance to go in to their store on Wednesday the first day of sale.
I have found they have charged me full price on 3 items that are on sale. It did take off a VIP price on one item thou.
Next time I must remember to check receipt when I get in the car before I leave.
I am now waiting for them to refund me.

some things weren't part of the sale.. I checked before I bought & only had a few items, one of them I thought would be in sale was the t-shirt material - but it seems they split hairs & if you had the circular stuff - ribbing wasn't part of the sale - so didn't get it..

And not just with their wool either. Check the labels on the embroidery thread, especially the white, to make sure you are getting the shade you need/want. I've come home with the wrong shade a few times.

The nearest Spotlight to me is 40 minutes away at least as I'm rural too. It's a pain in the a*** when this happens and I've been caught out a few times. Now I double check to make sure. They don't care, a lot of the staff don't craft so don't know or really just can't be bothered.

I think with the low staff numbers, they probably have to delegate their time to all the whole store, personally I think it would be extremely hard to keep tidy and batch ordered ALL the stock after some of the untidy customers I have seen in not only Spotlight but other shops. I used to work in Briscoes and one of my pet hates were customers who would rip open a duvet cover set, display it all over the shelving, decide they like it and take a new unopened pack to checkout leaving the mess for staff to tidy. So inconsiderate.

I was amazed that finally they have scanners around the shop, so you can check prices.. would be good if you could find location of goods as well, but I suppose you can't have everything in life :)

Their receipts can be hard to follow but if you do the sums, are usually right.

Yes, has happened to me and I always check now when they put them through the till. I will also never ever order online again. I ordered 7 different fabrics and some elastic. Everything was out of stock except one fabric and the elastic. I got charged $11.99 (shipping) for elastic and a metre of fabric. I go into the shop now.

They pay peanuts, and over work their people, so no wonder their staff are neither educated nor particularly helpful.

With a very few excellent exceptions!
