Does TM not fw the questions or signs of interest anymore?
I advertised a bed sit for rent, 85 views, but no replies, very strange. Last time we advertised this bed-sit we couldn't keep up with enquiries.

Don't know of any issues with trademe, but perhaps there are more rentals listed in your area this time.

I looked at your listing and it had just one photo, and the room looks small and dark. More photos on the listing would help, don't make them email to ask for them.

Yes they do still forward enquiries, 2 points of interest that I see.
1. 85 views is not a huge number to be concerned about without an enquiry (and bear in mind that is only going to increase now that you've put it on the messageboard ;)
2. Sorry, but the advert is not very appealing, if I were looking for a room to rent, I would never reply to that advert. Might sound harsh, but since you asked for comments by virtue of posting on a messageboard, that photo is awful, brick wall, glass with no curtains (read: freezing in winter), super thin looking carpet ... the mental image of living in there in winter would make me run a mile.

Thanks for your reply but I tried to post more pictures and that was the only one that was accepted. The worst one of the lot LOL

Thanks for your post. Not harsh, honest, I hear you. The room is far from dark or cold in winter, its cool in summer and lovelly to sit out on the deck when sun is out. Plenty of curtains too. I wish I was more technically inclined but alas, just an old lady LOL

You can upload 20 odd photos, so it's not that it's the 'only one accepted', but rather that you've done something wrong in setting it up.

Absolutely understand not being tech savy, but do you have a family member or friend that you can get to come and help you, because honestly, you're going to need to fix that add if you want to appeal to more people. I would worry you won't get ANY interest with it in the current format.

Is there are reason the drawers are open? Also I'd take photos with the lights on so the place looks lighter. Apart from that it looks all good.

I think you will find the only people that can view it will be people on Trade Me, I used to have a services page on Trade Me for years and my services page would come up in google searches, then I found Trade Me had some falling out with google, and my page wouldn't come up in google searches no more.
Once I learnt that I never renewed my services page.

Yes the drawers are open to show they are clean, I hate dirty drawers, and to air them after deep clean.

To be honest to me it looks dark and stark, your open drawers make it look like the place has been ransacked and they stole the microwave and fridge, along with all the lightbulbs...

To me it looks lovely, picture was taken at the end of day with the sun still coming through the window. We do have a fridge and microwave for the right tenant. There are spare light bulbs in the pantry LOL. Previous tenant wanted to bring her own fridge and microwave so the ones belonging in the flat are in storage.

But I have taken your comments on board and added a few thoughts. I am not going to take anymore pictures as it has already given me anxiety LOL

I hope you find a good tenant.

Its understandable that you don't want to take any more photos, next time you need to list it keep in mind that taking photos at the right time of day can make a big difference to how light the space appears.
