1 | I've just discovered my Samsung Galaxy A11 has not actually scanned/saved any QR codes since 13 November. I have been scanning and thought all was fine - but, "doh" not so!! mariner26 - 2020-11-18 15:33:00 |
2 | Normally it should buzz or vibrate when it's scanned a code. Does yours? nice_lady - 2020-11-18 16:35:00 |
3 | The only setting you need to allow is to let the app use storage and camera. You could try reinstall it. ETA: My covid app only has camera set in permissions. Edited by nice_lady at 4:38 pm, Wed 18 Nov nice_lady - 2020-11-18 16:36:00 |
4 | Thanks Julie. My camera settings on the A11 does not have any options to switch on "Allow QR code" or similar. From "day one" the previously loaded app has worked fine with just a point at the QR code and it is recognised and my visit then stored. mariner26 - 2020-11-19 14:11:00 |

NO Android smartphone has such. mariner26 wrote:
Hey these things happen and it's not always possible to figure it out as technology is indeed extremely complicated 'in the background' at least. Got it sorted. Good. And good on you for using it. Too many people don't. Idiots. nice_lady - 2020-11-19 14:42:00 |
6 | My phone shows the record as soon as it is taken. Is that unusual? davepro - 2020-11-19 16:52:00 |
7 | No it should do that. It's a record that's kept 'locally' on the phone and it should list it instantly just like taking a picture on the phone. Edited by nice_lady at 5:31 pm, Thu 19 Nov nice_lady - 2020-11-19 17:30:00 |
