It has no control panel.

Rather like buying a car with no steering wheel and hoping that the develop knew where you wanted to go....

Yes it does, its only the 'system' part of control panel thats changed (I dont like it either but its not as bad as what you are making out)_

A gradual dumbing down of the users control to the point where we'll all have three options - Micro$cam, Micro$cam and Micro$cam.

I could count on one hand the number of control options I know of that did not end up in the new setting app when removed from the control panel... out of the many hundreds if not thousands
If you're that worried about being 'dumbed down' then you should learn about the real control options in windows ie group policy editor, registry editor and command line.
As for why the change is necessary - it's simply because of the transition to touch screens and big fingers....

Was reading of a way to enable"God" mode so you can access any and ALL settings options from one place.

Or.....Linux or Mac. You don't have to use an MS device.

Is there a one-level-down Jesus level as well? Who sets the passwords God or Jesus?

Installed yesterday from the iso. Can't see any obvious differences even in the control panel. Haven't looked that hard. It's working fine, no apparent issues.

Start uses proper app icons not windows ones now. Similar but crisper now.

God mode refers to the fact that you have (in theory) ultimate control over the O/S. Not a religion thing.
Call it Superman mode if you like.

So it is just admin/root user/super user mode then. But you jump through hoops to get there. Intriguing.........

Here's a GUI called "Extended God Mode" which gives a list of all the options available. Easy to use and relates to all the things GodMode includes.

NO actually it more is a reference to the fact that it gives you total and easy access to EVERYthing in the settings just like a God might be expected to have. No mucking around it's just all there.
