alcatel battery replacement

yes I have found out that you can't replace their phone batteries.. but this is the only phone that has not only big numbers for an older person to see - but the phone is so simple it could almost be a land line, and it sits in a cradle so the older person doesn't have to fiddle with plugging in a cord.. what can I do, much as they say phones are able to be used by seniors.. most of the people saying this - aren't seniors.. they are promoting something they have been told.. is it possible to get a replacement battery?

Without knowing what the phone is, it would be difficult to say.

so tricky - I have to take a photo - download it onto computer & then transfer it into photos.. running two computers means I go from upstairs to downstairs computers.. if only I could download from the iphone straight to trademe.. but no I have to transfer all photos to the computer.. soooo annoying..

thank you .. will try a local that might be able to replace internals & then that gives me another option.. thing is that what they promote as a simple phone for an aged person - isn't.. unfortunately a % of us are going to have degenerative problems

Err no replacement required. You buy the new battery, pull the old one out, and place the new one in.

Sounds like you think this is more difficult than it is. It is an extremely simple process.

I just recently got a battery for an Alcatel One Touch phone from online and it came by air, I had it within about 10 days. Cost with shipping wa about NZ$20. Maybe lithium batteries are supposed to come by sea, but they called mine something else on the declaration, I think it was electronic keypad, so maybe they cheated? Anyway I got it with no issues.

Lithium batteries of a certain capacity are not allowed on passenger aircraft. Cargo aircraft may have battery size limitations also but I cannot imagine why a cellphone battery wouldn't be able to be airfreighted. (Hubby works at an airport and used to consign freight on passenger planes).
