Do you not have speakers?

First thing to check is the 'device manager' to see if the sound driver is installed or not. Are there any yellow triangle exclamation marks next to a device? Or the sound driver may need updating under 'sound, video and game controllers' expand and right click the audio device then 'update driver' then 'search automatically for drivers'.
You may have to go to the manufacturers site to download the sound driver manually, and then install it onto your computer.
If you don't understand anything I am saying then get a tech person to look at it.

You can also try this first if you are able too. System restore and restore your computer to a time when the sound was working.

Again if you don't understand what I am saying it might pay to leave it for a tech person to do.

Yes, have a look at the device manager to see what is installed.

But first, try restarting the computer.
