Crockpot as a casserole dish in the oven? I'm asking because the thermostat on mine no longer works on low and I'm not happy with high so hence my question.

I thought I might just cover the top with tin foil in place of the lid.

I broke one putting it on an element once, so I'd be a bit careful. But i don't really know how oven would go, cause i wouldn't be game to try it now
