Thank you for having answered all my questions. My life would have been poorer without you.

That me? If so thanks xx
I've collected a lot of recipes from here over the years & I too am grateful to those who have been helpful.

And if that's me calista, you're very welcome and thank you for your very kind words/thoughts.
I too have been grateful for all that the Recipes MB has offered. Actually it was because of this MB that I first joined TradeMe so it was a shock to read the e-mail advising that the Recipes MB was coming to an end. :-))

I'm sure that this thread was meant for you 245sam...it crossed my mind at the time, but I didn't realise that you were from ChCh, my apologies for stealing your thunder... you've been a great contributor to recipes & I have used several of your recipes.

No worries samanya. Yes, a Christchurch resident for around 44 years, and have now been at Lincoln for just over a year following settlement of our 2010 earthquake claim.

calista's thank you was for "other helpful people" too, so it's applicable to you too samanya in any case, but thank you for your kind words.

I'm always happy to share what I have been taught, what I have learned and the recipes I have collected over the years, just as I have been the lucky recipient of recipes and tips from many sources, although I must admit I treasure most.of all, what I have learned from my own now very elderly Mum, my late Mother-in-Law and family friends who were IMO the very clever cooks of much earlier years. :-))

I'd also say a huge thanks to those who willingly contributed their recipes [Apart from the 'superior' types who rubbish others food choices on here] - I have several folders of hard copy favourites & recipes that sound great & I have yet to try.
It's all about learning & expanding one's knowledge of food & it doesn't matter how much or little one has contributed, I'll bet someone has learned something from others here, that they will value for life.
