four ingredient fruit cake

#Post
1

I have a recipe for the above cake. It says to cover 1 kg mixed fruit with 2 cups of fresh orange juice.
Can I use, bought bottle of orange juice, from, Supermarket, presumed sugarless, and use, which brand?

I never buy these, as a rule, hence for asking. .
Many thanks for your information.

Yes, shouldn't be a problem I use bought orange juice ...no particular brand, but I do look for those with less sugar.
Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions, thinking of replacing, some of the orange juice, for some Brandy, by a 1/4 cup. :)

There is no sugarless orange juice. Used one that is no longer available but about 9% sugar and was fine.

I add an egg just because I want to and spices. I had that many comments on what a lovely cake it was. I will say myself it was delish.

Soak the fruit overnight in OJ then add flour and spices. Line 20CM Round tin (both the bottom and sides ) with 2 layers of baking paper. Spoon mixture into tine and level out with a knife. Bake in a preheated oven at 150degrees C for 2-2 and half hours or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. store ina air tight tin in fridge ,
