Keto Worcestershire Sauce.

#Post

My husband was given an unopened bottle Star Balsamic Vinegar from a mate of his, so I decided to try my hand at making a Worcestershire sauce as the one I have made already is full of sugars.

Keto Worcestershire Sauce.
Recipe..
2 cups of the Star Balsamic Vinegar..
15 grams of fresh ginger, sliced
1 large clove of garlic, sliced
1 teaspoon of pink salt,
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon of whole cloves,
2 packets of stevia,.
Simmer a few minutes and let it stand a few hours to infuse before straining, store in the fridge.

That stevia is enough for myself, my husband likes it too, so it should suit many others. It is near to Digby Law's recipe just without the treacle. That is why I chose to use that particular vinegar, it already had a twang.

Be aware that balsamic vinegar is extremely high in sugars. This recipe isn't keto.
I know there are pure balsamic vinegars that aren't high in sugar but they are $100;s and doubt whether they would be used in such a situation.

It is totally suitable for people who choose to eat under 20 net carbs a day. You are not consuming a lot in fact I used 1 teaspoon an a steak the other night, if I remember the carb count that would have been roughly, one and a half to two net carbs. If you saw the Balsamic vinegar I used you would get it. I came across 2 litre bottles of balsamic vinegar for $1.00 each. yep $1.00. I took 6 bottles to the counter and was told oh no that's not the correct price, I said come with me I can show you 20 more bottles of it. I got it for $1.00 a bottle. I bet no one else did.
