1 | I can't make head or tail of their online resources, apart from them telling me that family search has some records. Mountford George Fielder Clarkson marrried Elizabeth Atfield in 1887 in Bega NSW. They had three children that I can find all born in Bega NSW, Annie E, Edith and Mountford George. The family moved to Tasmania and I have seen at family search that Annie and Mountford married there in Tasmania. Mountford George the father died in NSW in 1936. What happened to Elizabeth? She was called Mary Eliza by her son on his marriage cert. She was born Elizabeth Margaret, I don't have death information for Annie or Edith too. Annie married George James Thompson in 1904. jhan - 2020-01-02 08:31:00 |
2 | I found Elizabeth in 1918 in Melbourne, nothing more. She was born 1870 in Bega. I found another son born to her, William Charles Leslie Clarkson born 1897 Tasmania. jhan - 2020-01-02 11:17:00 |

6 | I purchased the death certificate for Annie Clarkson in the above notice. Her name is wrong, perhaps she used Annie instead of Elizabeth, the names of the children fit. Edith Lillian Slattery, Nurse Connor should turn out to be Annie E Clarkson and the boys George and Leslie. Her death certificate was written out by someone in the Melbourne Benevolent Society Asylum, she was supposedly 76 yrs old and the daughter of Robert and May Girling. It was not known who she was married to. No proof there. The age is wrong, the parents are wrong, the husband unknown. However, on the strength of the death notice, I'm going to put down her death as that date and put the certificate up there for perusal on ancestry. jhan - 2020-01-02 21:37:00 |
