| I can't drink alcohol any more and needs ideas for nice drinks other than diet coke etc? Would be nice to be able to go out and order a nice drink for a change. Has any one got a favourite mix or cocktail? jan2242 - 2019-12-27 13:53:00 |

| depending on how strict you are with "no alcohol" Lindauer now has a alcohol free bubbly - although it is actually 0.5%. called Free - rose and white. benthecat - 2019-12-27 16:13:00 |
| I like lemon lime and bitters, ginger beer, sparking elderflower and sparkling grape juice for special occasions (pop a strawberry in there as well lol) lakeview3 - 2019-12-27 16:15:00 |
| The elderberry one I like is the ‘addmore’ brand. lakeview3 - 2019-12-27 16:23:00 |

| I love grape juice but can't drink it - too much sugar and I react badly to that. Have tried the 0% beers and they are ok I guess, very bitter and not a something I would have more than one of. It has to be no sugar- as in added sugar. That is as lethal to me as alcohol (same thing I guess). Never noticed how little there was for non drinkers. Will spend some time on google and see what I can find. Thanks for giving ideas. jan2242 - 2019-12-28 07:12:00 |
| There is a range(3 ) of alcohol removed wines.Pak'n have them sometimes and all the Trusts shops in west auckland. You could try countdown..They're Edenvale. I don't think any restaurants etc would stock them though. blueviking - 2019-12-28 08:49:00 |
| I drink lime and soda, if I'm making it myself I'll crush mint leaves in in, if I get it in a bar they don't do that. It's not sweet, I don't like sweet drinks and most alcohol removed wines I find too sweet. Edited by huggy5 at 10:09 am, Sat 28 Dec huggy5 - 2019-12-28 10:05:00 |
| Here are some interesting and refreshing drinks - a good search term for more ideas is ”mocktails”: rumpelstiltskin - 2019-12-29 09:10:00 |
| I always order lemon lime and bitters when out and look forward to it because I don't have it at home. I drink Aloe Vera from the supermarket at home, they do a diet one as well. jhan - 2019-12-30 10:48:00 |
| Bitters has alcohol in it, so if you really can’t tolerate any alcohol then you may need to take care with that (you only have a tiny amount though). blands70 - 2019-12-30 12:08:00 |
| I had a look up about bitters, fascinating. Then I found that there are non - alcoholic beers. And best of all, this chap writes ' if you’re really brave, get yourself a set of the Fee Brothers bitters. The Rhubarb one dashed into a glass of Appletizer, or the Cherry one in Lemonade is just wonderful. 'https://www.independent.c- jhan - 2019-12-31 23:09:00 |
