Food Vacuum Sealer vs Chamber Sealer

#Post

Want to get one of these but unsure as to whether to go for the cheaper Food Vacuum Sealer or the more expensive Chamber Sealer. Then of course there is a range of even cheaper sealers for sale..

One of the main factors is, like a lot of these products I think, the profit is not in the machine itself, but in the never ending cost of the consumables. While not horrendously expensive (they never are!) over the life of the machine they sure add up!

I like the ability to use much, much cheaper plastic bags with a Chamber Sealer but there is also the extra cost of the machine itself. So I guess its a playoff between expensive Chamber Sealer- with cheaper consumables (bags) or a cheaper vacuum sealer where you're forced to use their "relatively-expensive-ove-
r-time" bags.

A bit of a Mexican standoff??

The twin pack of sealer bags from the Warehouse are VERY moderately priced comparatively with, say, the Sunbeam ones. I've also bought from from Trade me and they were also cheaper. Both work perfectly well.

Thanks Seaspray. Any thoughts as to Food Vacuum vs Chamber Sealer (i.e. which is a better deal in the long term, and why?)
