This one does not seem to be RAF (or it's Royal Flying Corps predecessor)
From Ancestry:
in the UK, Silver War Badge Records, 1914-1920
Name: William Moran
Rank: Pte
Military Year: 1920
Regiment: Lincolnshire Regiment
Regimental Number: 11011
Discharge Unit: Lichfield
Discharge Regiment: Lincoln Regt.
Badge Number: 8611
Piece: 3051
List Number: F 0001-0300
Record Group: WO
Record Class: 329

The image adds enlisted 1.9.14 discharged 20.9.15; cause of discharge: wounds; served overseas: yes.

Not just an RAF award.

I now note in the Wikipedia article that "RAF men were issued with badges prefixed with 'RAF', over 10,000 badges were issued."

Ancestry has a browse option, by unit. The closest to RAF is the Royal Flying Corps. I have browsed 300+ pages of that. Most, not all, numbers are 6 digits. A few are 7xxx.
I'm guessing that the RAF, only formed in 1918, has a separate set of records that haven't been captured in this project.
