Golden syrup that has granulated

I opened my tin of golden syrup to see if I had enough for the Christmas cakes I'm going to bake and it has gone sugary. Can I just stir it or do I need to go and buy a new tin? I think it tastes the same.

Put it in a plastic bowl and microwave for a minute or so. Same with granulated honey. Good as new.
