Old recipe with egg mix or something to bind peanuts

Did you see the one I typed up last night?
125g butter
125g sugar
2 egg yolks
225g flour
1 tsp baking powder
Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks. Add sifted flour and baking powder.
Roll out approx 12mm thick and place on a greased tray, spread with:
175g roasted peanuts
2/3C sugar
75g dark chocolate
2 egg whites (unbeaten)
Melt chocolate in saucepan and add remainder of ingredients. Stir until mixture boils then spread over shortcake,
Bake 30 minutes at 180C.
Cut while hot.
