1 | Good evening. I have a request from a Canadian friend seeking information about a young NZ gentleman who was to marry a Canadian women. Unfortunately the womens mother convinced the Canadian lady it would not be a good idea. My Canadian friend is currently researching her great aunt the woman who was unable to marry this gentleman. Is anybody willing to help out my Canadian friend please? I am afraid it is beyond my skills to find the information she seeks. Would anyone be interested in conversing with my friend and assisting her. The gentleman in question is one Robert Tapper and his expeditionary number is 9/349. He joined as a single man in 1914. If anyone was happy to oblige with further information I would be grateful. Perhaps I may be able to provide an email address to correspond directly. I don't like to discourage enthusiasm so am offering to perhaps find a connection for her in NZ who may be able to help. Many thanks. clementine4 - 2019-11-29 18:01:00 |

8 | Robert Tapper appears to have died in Auckland in 1959. Son Robert Tapper died Auckland 1997. His wife in 2016. I have found a tree on ancestry with photos showing Robert Junior appeared to have served in WW2. I believe the tree belongs to a grandchild of the Robert Tapper you are in search of. I can put a message on this ancestry profile to come on the messageboard and look for this thread. Otherwise need to get your details somehow. landylass - 2019-11-29 19:36:00 |
