Ancestry Australia offering DNA for A$88 (plus shipping) until the 2nd of December 2019.
The talk I attended last week was led by a lady who does testing for Ancestry. She said this was coming up for Black Friday and is their lowest price ever.

If purchasing more than one kit postage on additional kits is AUD$10 each. Price includes return international postage on kit.

Great price. I was told there are approx 30 million people who have tested for DNA worldwide, 20 million with Ancestry and 10 million with other companies. Also that you can take your Ancestry DNA data and upload it to My Heritage and some other companies. You cannot take other companies DNA data and upload it to Ancestry.

Pros and cons:
Ancestry, largest database, can download raw data and upload to MyHeritage,familytreedna, gedmatch for free. Con - chromosome matching is inbuilt called shared matches and only goes down to 20CM.
MyHeritage, chromosome browser, cannot upload to Ancestry
Familytreedna, chromosome browser, cannot upload to Ancestry
23andme, I haven't used so not sure how it works.
I am biased towards Ancestry cause I use it all the time. Also I like that you basically get all three companies for the one test. Test with Ancestry then download raw and upload to others.
After doing test if you want to do any in depth research you will probably have to pay a sub. Ancestry can do a monthly sub. Myheritage and familytreedna will give 14 day free trial when you upload to them. Basic gedmatch free monthly fee for more tools.
DNA testing very good for validating genie research and for seeking non paternal events.
