Oh dear, I don’t have a cheque book.

But then, I was given (lent?) Delia Smith’s ‘One is Fun’ several years ago, and find it easier to halve recipes for 4 and cook only every second day. Or if the meal will freeze well, put two servings in the freezer for a rainy day.

Why are the repliers assuming it is for a senior?? Not everyone has or needs a partner.

No, but it is ideas for easy meals for one or two. I will spend an hour or so cooking for DH and I, but when on my own, I can't be faffed.
Poster two put up an idea, so I went googling as was curious about what sort of recipes they offered.

Have emailed the senior contact for the cookbook as I don't use cheques any more. The One is Fun is available on Book Depository. Is it worth $26?

I don't think so. The recipes are fine, but a bit dated for those who try to keep up with today's emphasis on a largely plant-based diet.

I find most of Nadia Lim's recipes easy to cut down for 2 people - some are already designed for 2.

The Senior cookbook has just finished a new printing with updated recipes I is $20 with a P&P of $4 and can now be paid for with internet banking. I am ordering one today.

Got the cookbook. It is well worth the money as it has lots of tips and set out great with 1 recipe per page and a photo of the dish. Some of the recipes are basic with ideas on how to vary the recipe.
