Help,please..I have this recipe that I think is called Magic Slice.
Crush 1 pkt malt biscuits, add 200g melted butter. press into oblong tin, then add....2 cups choc chips, 2 cups coconut, 2 cups chopped nuts, and then...
pour over 1 tin cond milk. stand 5 mins. then pop in oven 25 mins 180.
made one lot, and had too much butter (no idea how), so got more ingredients made another, and the base is alll crumbly ..
Dam, dam, this was for a competition so pretty sad.
If anyone has this recipe and it is good, please let me know, or if I have missed and ingredient.thx

I don't have the recipe, but Google has a couple....

https://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipes/magic-slice/zi6us3jw

From these two, I'd guess it's the chocolate that's missing?

...yes, no nuts is ok, maybe some cranberries or currants may be ok.

korbo and skydancing, this is the recipe that a friend's Mum used many years ago and I do recall that it was yum. She definitely used chopped dried apricots and I'm fairly surely they were instead of the almonds - it was a very more-ish treat.

MAGIC SLICE
Base:
1½ cups plain sweet biscuit crumbs
75g butter, melted

Mix the biscuit crumbs and butter then press the mixture into a 28cm x 18cm tin.

Topping:
1 cup each of milk choc bits or chocolate chips, raisins, desiccated coconut and flaked almonds
1 x 395g can sweetened condensed milk

Evenly sprinkle the ingredients over the biscuit base in the order given, then evenly pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top.
Bake at 180ºC for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the centre is firm. Cool in the tin. :-))
