He was born 1853, Patrington, East Riding of Yorkshire.
He appears on the 1861 census aged 7 as a boarder.

There is a Henry Harness birth registered Q3 1853 in Patrington (Yorkshire East Riding) Vol 9D Page 192. Mothers maiden name is Abley. Found this info on GRO Index search.

An Ancestry tree has Harry's mother as Mercy "Abbey" 1812-1859.

My research so far shows "my" Harry b c 1853, married a Jane Ann Wilson b c 1858, married 1875 in Sculcoates Yorkshire and they arrived in Welly 4/10/1876 on the Waimea.
