Caramel slice or brownie?
Kids need to do lots of baking this week for school pets day competition. Trying to distribute it through the week and wondering about freezing caramel slice or brownie and wondering if they defrost nicely....and are just as good as fresh.

Of those options I’d say brownies would defrost better - you could also make blondies

Brownies.

Also, if you were thinking of cookies, you could make the dough, freeze and then cook the dough the day before.

Today is Monday.
What day is the Pet Day.
Cake coulnd't last that long (as still be at its best).

How long will slice/brownie last without freezing?

Google suggests that neither need to be frozen.

but to your original question - brownies would freeze better

Either one is good if you put them in the fridge. Cut into squares and then put into ice cream containers and into the fridge.

They are both good and defrost well. I have done so before.

Agree, my brownie recipe freezes really well and even on the soft freeze function, is great in lunchboxes weeks later. I've had many positive comments about my 'fresh brownie' when I know its not fresh at all!
