Looking for Robert Ferguson

#Post
1

Born 26 July 1902 at Broughshane, Ballymena, Northern Ireland - son of Robert Ferguson and Margaret Gribben. There is a tree on ancestry showing he died 3 Nov 1975 but I cannot find the death, and with a reasonably common name cannot find the birth. All siblings immigrated to NZ, youngest with the parents in 1930. Same tree shows the father died in Ireland. NZ Electoral rolls show other living with other children, married but husband not on roll so he may have gone back to Ireland.
Any assistance in finding the death for Robert Ferguson born 1902 much appreciated.

Hi crab2, that is unknown. The tree on ancestry only has a date of 3 Nov 1975. I have searched world but cannot find anyone with that exact date.

From the family tree on Ancestry, under the life story tab it says …
"He died on 3 November 1975 in Hospital, Rivera, Uruguay, at the age of 73."

Oh that is brilliant, I just looked at the header that said "at hospital" never thought to use the life story. That gives me somewhere to look. Thank you very much.

Are you saying that Robert born 1902 may not have come to NZ with his parents?
And Robert snr may have returned to Ireland?
Have you got the mother's death certificate?

So have you got the father's (Robt Snr) and mother's (Margaret) births?

Need anymore help?

Yes, it is possible that Robert b1902 may not have come to NZ (if the tree on ancestry is correct, now I have a country I can do some more hunting).
I have burial record for mother in NZ, and electoral rolls showing husband not with her. Only info I have of father's death is from the same tree. I have birth records for both parents.
Will have another look tomorrow at Uruguay as my computer has gone very sluggish! Will be back tomorrow if I need more assistance.
Thanks
