| Yet another toaster failure. Russell Hobbs 4 slice, bought 2015. Can't remember the one before that (Sunbeam?). We need a four slice toaster that can manage the basics: 1) copes with thick English muffins/crumpets 2) can toast both sides evenly or extra on one side only socram - 2019-09-03 14:53:00 |
| I have the Brabantia 4 slice toaster and matching kettle in silver. Really good quality set from Briscoes. Don't pay full price though! Previous to that, I had the DeLonghi Icona range. Both are equally good brands, toast well and take the thicker crumpets/muffins easily. Edited by sleek_lizzy at 3:12 pm, Tue 3 Sep sleek_lizzy - 2019-09-03 15:10:00 |
| I have a 2 slice Kitchen Aid (they make a 4 slice one) & it's the best toaster I've ever had. Got the crumpet setting as well & would take English muffins, I think ...I'm not familiar with those but can vaguely remember how thick they are.. 4 | DeLonghi 4 slice, bagel setting does crumpets, timer on each side for toast settings, cant fault it, and we were given it second hand 3 years ago so they obviously last. articferrit - 2019-09-03 17:35:00 |
| Brabantia here too, had it for a few years, got it on special at Briscoes. It copes well with all size slices, muffins and crumpets and also has a bagel setting which is great. nauru - 2019-09-03 18:50:00 |
| I have tried many and read tons and tons of user reviews on others. lythande1 - 2019-09-03 18:51:00 |
| Had a Breville 4 slice for over 10 yrs now.Does extra thick and has the crumpet mode. Will also do vogels in 1 hit. blueviking - 2019-09-04 06:47:00 |
| Breville 4 slice here as well, 12 yrs and still going strong. Wide enough for English muffins and crumpets. strowan1 - 2019-09-04 06:58:00 |
| Thanks. Most useful. Shopping this morning... socram - 2019-09-04 08:44:00 |
| Bought a Breville - cheap enough. Two slots, which at least means four slices of smaller bread or can cope with the longer breads. Seems that all those with 4 slots are the same length. socram - 2019-09-04 19:50:00 |

| I went through a few toasters till I bought my cuisine art 4 slice toaster 8 years ago. Decided to spend a bit more than the normal breville/sunbeam costs. It has not died yet so has done well. marcs - 2019-09-16 20:37:00 |

| It's horrendously expensive but I asked mr oak for a dualit 3 slice toaster for our 10th wedding anniversary 11 years ago. Best toaster in the world. English, solid steel and aluminium. The elements can be replaced so they last all your life. Very heavy. Very good quality. No pop up rather a leaver to raise the toast. That way toast also stays warm till you lift it up. Used predominantly in England in cafes as hard working, long wear. Fewer working parts to break down with no pop up. Just noticed the new Vogels add the man had one at the start of the add. You'll cry when you see the price but they do have specials occasionally. If it lasts 30+ years you'll get your money back! Come in 2 3, 4 and 6 slice for home use through to commercial use. I'm preparing myself for comments about the price..... https://www.chefscomplements.co.nz/buy-kitchenware-nz/dualit Edited by oakcottage at 4:40 pm, Tue 17 Sep oakcottage - 2019-09-17 16:38:00 |

| An indecent one might be more fun. I have a Kitchen Aid, we find it too slow. Edited by rainrain1 at 7:27 am, Wed 18 Sep rainrain1 - 2019-09-18 07:25:00 |

| I have a Brabantia two slice. Worse toaster ever. Does one side better than the other so always have flip the slice of toast and redo. Give me my cheapo from the Warehouse that is still going strong. strathview - 2019-09-22 19:54:00 |
| Breville 4 slice here - had it about 6 or 7 years - no issues, can toast one side for English muffins, crumpets, etc sarahb5 - 2019-09-22 22:44:00 |
