Ooh, lemonades, a friend had a tree in her backyard, so I would raid it every time I went over (young teen, maybe even younger). Odd even for me, as I don't do lemons/limes normally. (Was going to say citrus, but love oranges etc).

Not really recent but not that long ago I used to look at Feta Cheese in the supermarket and think 'blerk, no way I'm eating that'. Then someone else made a quiche with feta sprinkled over it. Now, I use it in almost any quiche I make - just love it.

Water drops are intensely flavourful and sweetened with stevia. Many fruity flavours to choose from. No horrible after taste from the stevia.

Do you feel like sharing your penati cracker recipe? I've been playing around with making them lately. Some more successful than others.

Hoisin or fish sauce and chilli oil or sweet chilli sauce also makes a good dipping sauce for rice paper rolls or dumplings

Pics boysenberry jelly - absolutely delicious and not as sugary/sweet as regular jam

I've started making uncooked jams using chia seeds to thicken it. I use frozen berries or other fruit.
2 cups fruit of choice
¼ cup sugar or equiv. sweetner
1 tablsp ground chia seeds.

When fruit is almost defrosted I blend to a puree with my hand blender, add sugar/sweetner and blend. Stir in the chia seed and leave to thicken. Pot and keep in the fridge.
If it thickens too much (jelly like) add a little water to loosen up. If not thick enough add a little more chia. Original recipe used whole chia seeds but I find ground gives a better texture. I only use 1-2 tablsp sugar or equiv. sweetener depending on berries used, I find that is sweet enough for our taste. I have also made marmalade using this method too. I know, not everyones choice of jam making but we like it so I thought I would share.

Thanks for posting this - would be a healthy alternative and after what I read on the scales this morning I definitely need some of that

You are welcome and yes I agree much healthier alternative. It's so easy to make and making small amounts suits our needs well. I made raspberry yesterday which is lovely and also another batch of marmalade with some chopped glace ginger added, it was very nice on my toast this morning. Looking forward to using fresh berries this summer.

Ricotta - had heard of it obviously but never made or eaten it - am now in love with it; ricotta with honey is divine.

Kimchi. How did I live without it? Been eating it for a couple of years now but it's worth a mention!

Smoked chipotle. Unfortunately these do not like me at all; however I indulge from time to time as I adore the taste.
