I have the beige and brown one, the same style, and I bought it off my SIL's mother over 35 years ago. Its still going strong, a few marks but still great. The outer gets warm, not hot, the inner is Temuka pottery and if you have the glass lid (mine had a plastic one and when it broke hubby got me a glass one). Its had 2 new lids, a new thermostat, a new plug and its still works perfectly. To me, the older, heavier inner's in the crockpots are best. Very little is overdone and you get that nice slow cook. I even picked up an older one at a garage sale for $5 and gave it to my daughter when she went flatting. Its an obsolete model, the first one they brought. The glass lid broke (earthqukes) I walked into an op shop to search for one, and bingo, found one. Unbelieveable. I still have the original cookbooks for it too. brightlights60 - 2019-08-08 00:07:00 |
