That's the very reason why I avoid recipes that say 1 lemon, 2 lemons or whatever. I prefer to always use a recipe that states x tsp grated zest and/or x cup lemon juice (orange juice or whatever) - the fruit vary so much in size so naturally the yield of zest and/or juice can be so variable. However many lemons you decide to use highfences, can I suggest that you measure the zest/juice and note the quantity down, then next time you can either use the same quantity or adjust it accordingly. :-)) 245sam - 2019-07-06 14:55:00 |
4 | Highfences, my recipe says to grate the zest of one large lemon for the cake and then to make a syrup with the lemon juice from the grated lemon to soak through the cake once it's cooked. if it is a big lemon one is enough. thuntzster - 2019-07-06 18:17:00 |
