2 | You need to have a google and see where Danish records are kept. My Heritage are known for their hard sell - make sure they have what you want before you buy! People generally recommend Ancestry for DNA because it has the largest database and you take the data and upload it to MyHeritage but you can't do it the other way around. rednicnz - 2019-06-27 21:10:00 |
3 | Don't waste your money on My Heritage, go with Ancestry and then upload your DNA to Gedmatch (free) and FTDNA(free) as those have the largest bases, When joining anything don't give your phone number put in 0000000 as this is how scammers can get hold of your number crab2 - 2019-06-28 18:57:00 |
4 | I originally was with My Heritage but gave them up some 10 years ago to join Ancestry. I still get matches from My Heritage and the latest ones from them are so wrong as the people mentioned were not even in England on the dates mentioned. Recently they even had me as being deceased, much to the distress of some rellies who googled my name and this fact came up. This I managed to get corrected by ringing them. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend you have anything to do with them. Capricorngirl mlarkin - 2019-06-28 20:13:00 |
5 | I agree about My Heritage. Out of ignorance (?) I've been with them about ten years. But my concern lies more with getting to a point where I want to proceed with an inquiry, only to be faced with more expense to get to any depth! (i.e. a referral to a U.S. site to spend more money). I guess that's the same with a lot of these outfits but I wonder which is the best. And how can you trust who's telling you anyway.
