| My old one has lost its grind.... given it several chances but its not coming back ... I visited a local kitchenware shop and there is a wide variety of styles and prices from $20 - $120 .... so wondering if anyone has a tried and true robust pepper grinder they can recommend... I usually mix normal pepper corns, seshwan and pink pepper corns in the same grinder... and I do the usual no no of grinding over hot liquids etc.... So tell me your recommendations please. karlymouse - 2019-06-22 22:11:00 |
| The (cheap) ones you can get at the supermarket which have the mixed peppercorns and the grinder in the lid seem to last forever and I just refill them. I cant help if you want a 'nicer' one to use at the table. articferrit - 2019-06-23 07:51:00 |
| My vote also for the supermarket ones. Last for ages then just buy another. Use them for salt also. jan2242 - 2019-06-23 08:34:00 |
| The plastic filled ones from supermarket I have found the best. I refill them. lythande1 - 2019-06-23 08:42:00 |
| I got oxo brand from Stevens I think. The problem with most for me are they are tightened with a screw at the top and my asbergers brother keeps on tightening them too tight and they split, bonus is that the grinder is on the top and you twist the bottom so no seasoning sprinkles get scattered on table or need to a saucer. arielbooks - 2019-06-23 08:51:00 |

Thanks that is interesting.. I will try that... I have no preference about how the grinder looks ... just as long as it works well karlymouse - 2019-06-23 09:36:00 |
