Pressure Cooker Help

#Post
1

Bought a new 3 liter one, so a bit smaller. Now as an example, googled chilli concarne recipe and it said 2 cups of water (dinner for4 and presumably a larger cooker than mine.) For me that could end as a soggy mess if too much water. Think it said 500g of mince, so would you add 2cups to 500, or is it the size of your cooker that dictates how much water.? Thanks.

Eerk!! Two cups of water to 500 gms mince would be soup! Even worse if there are onions or other veg in the recipe. I'd halve the water.

My pressure cooker has a minimum level for the liquid mark & I once thought that I could get away with less & I burnt the meal ...fortunately the cooker did the auto stop thing before any major harm was done, but the meat was ruined.

Water turns to steam and escapes, so stick to recipe.
