| Born 1920 in the USA. Was stationed in New Zealand during WW2. Married Freda Keitha Galey. Had two kids. Divorced after the war. I was told he went back to America, however, he didn't and died in NZ on 20 Dec 1992. Seeking relatives and or anyone who knows where he lived/died in NZ biddy23 - 2019-05-21 19:44:00 |
| There is a probate file at Archives NZ which says that his probate was filed in the Dunedin Court: Edited by kiwileprechaun at 8:14 pm, Tue 21 May kiwileprechaun - 2019-05-21 20:13:00 |
| This is from the BDM register: 12 December 1920 is his birthdate. His death date is actually 25 April 1992. He lived in Prosser Street in Green Island, Dunedin and is buried at Green Island Cemetery in Dunedin: kiwileprechaun - 2019-05-21 20:17:00 |
| His burial record shows that he is buried with his wife Marie Joan Dixon (d. 1980) so it appears he remarried. kiwileprechaun - 2019-05-21 20:18:00 |

| Hmmm. Not sure that is the right James William Dixon, although it is the only one that died in 1992. There is a marriage for James William Dixon to Marie Joan Bell in 1945, however the divorce file for James and Freda is dated 1947-1949. kiwileprechaun - 2019-05-21 20:24:00 |
| Kiwileprechaun - I think not right one either. He did go by Jim Dixon. Freda changed her name to Fransesca Karmel Harvey ( married Victor Harvey) Have wondered if James changed his name also? biddy23 - 2019-05-21 20:38:00 |
