Tho their marriage was very short my DNA research indicates there was a surviving child of their union.
John Boothman remarried in 1872 to Elizabeth Saxelby and they had children. They would not be in my DNA.
I am finding it difficult to find a child/children of the first Mrs. Elizabeth (nee Sessions) Boothman. They would be in my DNA.
I suspect an illigit. birth but can not find that either.
It is possible that she was pregnant when at time of marriage in Aug. and died in childbirth in Dec. and that the child lived. I am curious to learn if there is a record of reason of death.

If it was me, I'd try to find where each child is when the 1871 census is taken. **Note that there's one birth that was reg'd in Derby, and Elizabeth Sessions' father lived in Markeaton, a part of which looks to have been in Derby County Borough in the 1860s. When the 1871 census is recorded the Allens are living in Smalley Mill, Derbyshire and Rebecca doesn't have any grandchildren living in the household. When the 1861 census was recorded, Rebecca was working as a cook in a school and didn't have any of her children with her. Thank you for your suggestion. I feel there is a strong possibilty that Frances is indeed the missing child. Margaret would have had to have born him when she was 48 yrs old plus there is a 9 yr gap between her last two children. Not impossible but considering that plus date of birth I feel it is likely the child of John Henry Boothman and Elizabeth nee sessions so therefore Margarets grandchild.
