Lol....you're right, didn't think of that. why aren't glass containers being promoted though? Maybe because they last too long and the manufacturers don't have on going sales.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge animal lover, hate seeing the rubbish in the oceans and the massive rubbish pollution. I do what I can to help in my small way, but I do get a bit cynical about the supermarkets and big business.

| 9 | That is a good idea. I used to get upset way back in the dark ages that I couldn't use my own containers. I never buy any of the sweetened savoury products from the Serve Over Deli anyway. Apart from stuffed peppers, I can't remember the last time I bought anything from one so no need for me to go carting my own containers around most of the time. The easy way for the supermarkets to implement this would be to change to labels with peelable adhesive that can easily be removed as these are readily available. If everyone that changed to their own containers and had a label stuck on it with the price etc asked at the counter.. Why don't you change to peelable adhesive on your labels so we can easily remove our labels? they might look at it, however... It may cost them very slightly more.
Dodgy people will swap labels around or remove them, so a new tamper proof design and die will need to be made.
