The new Milo will be on shelves from May 20 - so Kiwis will be able to find out for themselves if it's as good as the old recipe.

One wonders if Cadbury will ever get the same message...?

A company changes their long-term popular products at their peril

Is that what they call it? I read the article and it seems they are tweaking the recipe they are currently using by adding 'vanilla flavour' back in. There is no guarantee it is real vanilla, just something that tastes like vanilla. Seems to be just another marketing ploy to entice customers back.

It is hard to decide what she isn't telling us with her comments about having to tweak baking recipes when we change our ovens. As I have never had to tweak any recipe baked in a regular oven one can only assume they are using some other technology (ie. maybe a combo microwave, convection or steam or something else) to 'bake' their Milo product now.

I also like bournvita but can't seem to get it now. Milo has too much sugar in it.

Milo is just sugar, cocoa and all sorts of cr*p. If I fancy a chocolate drink I put plenty of cocoa and a little sugar in a mug. Pour a little boiling-water over it and stir well. Fill the mug with milk, stir and microwave until hot, mind not to boil-over. Now, THAT'S a Hot Chocolate. Milo-blerrk!

This. When we were children we made a 'chocolate' drink with cocoa. I just don't see the point of Milo/hotchocolate/bournvita/et-
c when cocoa, mixed to a paste with a little cold water, hot milk and sugar made a wonderful chocolatey drink. I presume it still does and with the advent of Dutch cocoa, it could only have improved.
