how long would stewed apples in the freezer be good for.? I have some in the freezer from last year i haven't used yet. Wondering if i should throw them out and replace this year or if they would still be ok?

I'm still using stewed apricots and peaches from Jan 2018 and they are fine so I'd think apples would be fine too.

I also have stewed apples from Jan/Feb 2018 that I am just finishing off and they are still yummy and with no spoilage at all. I certainly wouldn't throw them out. I have never frozen feijoas so don't know how well they stand up to being frozen. Test and try would be my motto.

I do freeze feijoas and I don’t find they freeze less well than any other fruit. So if everything else is fine up to around 12 months, I’m sure feijoas will be too.

Since I learned that ‘spoiled’ food will fail the smell test, or may look yucky, I disregard rigid instructions on how long stuff will last in the freezer. I have eaten meat (cooked after thawing) that has been there for three years with no ill effects.

My frozen stewed fruit never lasts long enough to test its staying power.

It can depend on what they are in. Plastic bags etc have a shorter storage life than things like Tupperware. Many years ago I bought loads of the freezer containers (you can't get these ones anymore) and have fruit and veges purees stored for well over a year that are fine. They would perhaps lose a bit of their vitimens and "goodness" but be okay.
