1 | There are some interesting couples on this year's show. Looking forward to some of them getting their come-uppance. dbab - 2019-04-16 17:18:00 |
2 | Let me guess? The Peruvians & the Christian brothers? I'm sure they choose people who they think will cause a few dramas. I love the look on Manu's face when someone is being nasty ...his eyes show what he's thinking. samanya - 2019-04-16 17:37:00 |
3 | Of course they do, it's all about the ratings. Those boys are totally obnoxious. gshj - 2019-04-16 18:19:00 |

5 | Has it just started in NZ? We are the pointy end in Auz. I can't say I enjoyed it too much this year. It was very different with too much drama built in. marcs - 2019-04-16 20:39:00 |

(and the shorthaired one's eyes are snake-like - so creepy) Surely there's no need for that in a cooking show? It should be about how sharp their knives are, not their tongues! The aroma of the food, and it's taste, not the putrid remarks....? |

Yay, time to ignore magazines (I do anyway lol). Yes, on Sunday we had a recap of the programme (great waste of time really) and then it started on Monday night. I am sure it is only on two nights a week (Mon/Tue). And I wonder how long till someone thinks it awesome that they know who wins and ruins it for everyone who has done well to not find out. (Not you Marcs, we know you won't). Pretty sure last year's spoilsport is still on my blacklist. |

Exactly, but I suppose it's about ratings, they always seem to have the 'nasties' or the 'know alls' who make us all want to see them stuff up. Those who talk themselves up & don't deliver keeps us hanging on. The team last night were really good. samanya - 2019-04-17 17:49:00 |

I must admit the two young boys (not sure if they were the first group or second - Josh and Austin) are very immature and it shows how young they are. I do not like their attitude. Of course the show keeps the ones that create dramas for as long as they can. Edited by marcs at 6:20 pm, Wed 17 Apr marcs - 2019-04-17 18:19:00 |
11 | Watching tonight... that Columbian woman and her 'baby.. baby... baby..." to her husband all the time is very annoying. karlymouse - 2019-04-22 20:39:00 |
12 | Did the MAFS producers do MKR as well, seems to be a similarity to me. I find the food old fashioned. If I see another pig's belly!! |
13 | Pete did say last night that they weren't worried about presentation at this stage of the competition, and they were looking for flavour. dbab - 2019-04-23 15:24:00 |

They got neither last night Agree... a stew is a stew in any country ... nothing special here folks... despite it being cooked with "love" perhaps they should have tried cooking it with some seasoning :) karlymouse - 2019-04-23 17:08:00 |

I found that irritating too, but I did feel for them ...she pretty much did it all by herself & what her husband did, he stuffed it up. I think he's going along with it, because he knows how much she wants it. He's a bit of a wuss, but he must love her to put himself through that for her. samanya - 2019-04-23 17:50:00 |
17 | High standard set last night for the second group. Watching the promo for the next show looked interesting. I wonder what the blonde lady said? It will be fun seeing how the couple who had never met get on. dbab - 2019-05-08 09:27:00 |
18 | Can't be bothered with it this time round, and I don't miss it at all. It's too silly for me. Like reading your comments though. rainrain1 - 2019-05-08 09:56:00 |
19 | And it clashes with both UK Masterchef and Great British Bake Off - so for me, it barely gets a glance during the other shows' ad breaks. kaddiew - 2019-05-08 10:22:00 |
20 | https://www.trademe.co.nz/Community/MessageBoard/Messages.as px?id=1800920&topic=5 I do feel that Karolina was a bit "precious" about the comment. She can dish it out, but not take it. Still, not a nice comment. dbab - 2019-05-14 16:24:00 |

I still watch it, but I just wish that they would choose a dozen or so couples, chosen for their potential to actually cook, rather than choosing for the 'drama' perspective & forget about bringing in another lot & get it over with, instead of dragging it out for so long! samanya - 2019-05-14 16:44:00 |
22 | If they chose it purely for the contestants' ability to cook, it would lose its character. There are plenty of shows for cooking ability; this one is meant to be more sensationalist. That's how they get their ratings, from people who like that sort of thing and wouldn't probably enjoy the more straightforward cooking shows. Variety - spice of life - and all that! kitty179 - 2019-05-14 17:20:00 |
23 | When is Aussie Masterchef next due on, anyone know? I don't like the British or American versions. For me they can't hold a candle to the Aussie one. kitty179 - 2019-05-14 17:20:00 |

28 | It will be interesting when the romance between Victor & piper comes out at the table. Piper was voting strategically to keep Victor in. Maybe the others tried to get rid of him, as there was only one vote in them winning the last challenge. Victor has sulked ever since then. ruby2014 - 2019-07-11 12:07:00 |
