| .Normally I cook them in the oven without a sauce or gravy but I do find that they dry out a little. So was thinking that I might pour a sauce or gravy over them before cooking in the oven.Does anybody have a nice recipe for the above. carol113 - 2019-04-03 08:32:00 |
| Well I suggest cooking in an oven bag with the gravy that will keep them moist and tender. petal1955 - 2019-04-03 08:46:00 |

| Brown them first, you will get gravy from the brownings rainrain1 - 2019-04-03 09:38:00 |
| I have a recipe that brown's the beef olives first then you make a gravy and add onions and carrots and cook in oven. Sorry don't have it at hand at present otherwise would post exact. Makes them more a casserole type dish but I still find them a little tough (could be we aren't using veal schnitzel for the olives). cgvl - 2019-04-03 11:51:00 |
| I brown olives in hot pan, into oven bag, soften a diced onion add a packet gravy mix to pan with some water scrape all goodies off pan make gravy, stir till smooth and bubbling, tip over olives, throw in handful mixed veg if you like, into slowcooker, cook on low, serve over creamy mashed spuds with veg of choice. Nice and moist. fifie - 2019-04-03 12:19:00 |
