Bean question

| Lightweight question really ..this has been the 'summer of the bean' in my garden (why I planted so many I'll never know) & I just love them but as I stand at the bench prepping them, I wonder, why am I cutting off the pointy end? It's all bean isn't it? samanya - 2019-03-30 18:15:00 |
| I cut both ends off, only because everybody else does. I say leave it on, and start a new trend. Pointless to take it off :-) rainrain1 - 2019-03-30 18:31:00 |
| Beats me...I don't even cut the stalk end, only if it actually has a stalk, I pull that off. lythande1 - 2019-03-30 18:51:00 |

| I cut the beans off at the stem, leaving the stalk on the plant. Never cut the other end off - voila all bean in the pot to eat! flier3 - 2019-03-30 19:44:00 |
| I pretty much do the same ...except I nip them off the plant with my fingernails ;o) samanya - 2019-03-30 19:56:00 |

| My mother-in-law at 3pm used to put the chops in the oven, the cabbage, carrots and potatoes (in separate pans) on the hob, turn them all on and leave them to cook until dinner at 6pm. She didn't enjoy cooking but was dutiful to her household. davidt4 - 2019-03-31 10:41:00 |
