Samuel Peter Lawson Born 12 February 1857

#Post
1

I have a Family Bible that has been in my possession for approx forty years. It was found in a house my parents purchased in Parnel[ Auckland.
The first entry in the Family Register of the bible is Samuel Peter Lawson born 1857. Samuel Peter died 28 November 1929. The second name is Wihlemina Alexandrina born 2 September 1862. I am presuming that is Samuels wife. Their children were Christina Mary born1885, Charles Peter born 1887, William Alexander born 1889, Bertha Winifred 1893, Anna Louisa born 1896, James A ? born 1898, Kenneth Theodoer born 1901, Wilhemina Alexandrina born 1904. I would dearly love to find descendants of Samuel who I could return this bible to. Any help would be appreciated,

Ancestry.com (Owner of the tree - bfarrell65) has a family tree with these two listed, Peter Lawson and Willemina Alexandrina Minnie Andrew. There are other family linked trees

can I put it on another site for you? I can remember years ago, about 20! I was called up to Masterton to view a photograph album and could I find the rightful owner, didn't take me long with help off the computer etc... it was found in the wall off a house... to do with a Scottish family, the person who wanted my help was a reporter for NZ Herald.. think from memory it was to do with a Cameron family... but what a great find.... good luck another super sleuth!

I've just recieved a reply to the message I sent to the 2nd person on Ancestry..... Peter Samuel Lawson

Hello Linda My email address is ( I cannot show this as it is trademe's rules)....The names from the Bible match some of the people in my tree. My connection to them is a little removed but I am in contact with my Mother's Cousin's Daughter who lives in Hamilton. Breifly: Mary Jane Boyd 1839 - 1914, Mother of Williamina Alexandrina Minnie Andrew (1862 - 1939) who was born onboard ship en route to NZ, who married Peter Samuel Lawson. Her brother Robert Boyd married Isabella Gordon Miller, their child, Grace married my Great Uncle John Rees Williams. I am in touch with their Grand Daughter Bronwen. Thank you for reaching out. As an interesting aside, my cousin currently lives on Boyd Avenue, Mangere Bridge, Auckland. You have a few more names than I have so I'll spend some time and search and add the extras. kind regards Joanne Archer
