New Oven Recommendations Please

#Post
1

I'm looking for a new double oven and have been looking at ones available that appeal. However, when I look up reviews for those models very few people seem happy with what they have bought for various reasons. Even the ones where you need a mortgage to buy one people don't seem pleased with. Is there someone out there, anyone, that is happy with their new'ish double oven and could you please let me know brand and model. Thank you.

I bought a Bosch double oven 2 years ago. I find I use the top oven the most there are only the 2 of us at home. I have no regrets.

Bosch do have a very good name. There are only 2 of us too but there was already a double oven in the space so I need to replace with another double rather than try and fill the hole.

I’ve got a Borsch double oven, I’m not that keen in it.
The body seems to dent easily, and I’m always wiping it down because every little mark shows up.
Don’t judge haha, but it’s got cobwebs in one of the doors between the door layers, I’m too scared to take it off and open it up, in case I can’t get them back together.
The racks xxx me off because, you have to slide them in a special way because they need to slot a special way. The larger oven has a double slider and the bottom ones are a pest because if I’m using the top ones, sometimes the bottom ones are out and if I have a dish in my hand I have to put it down so I’ve got two hands to push them out of the way.
I suppose it cooks ok.

I have a Westinghouse one and a half, I love it. the doors are so easy to clean, just remove the glass not the whole door.
I do heaps of baking the full oven is used for that, but as it is only me the half gets used for chickens meals etc. I recommend Westinghouse

I think mine is a 1+!/2 come to think of it
I love the second oven for keeping food warm when I'm doing smokos for 6 or 8. Mine is supposed to clean itself, but I don't know to what extent, I haven't even studied the book properly yet.

Thanks for all your comments. After a bit more investigating I settled on an Electrolux this morning. Certainly not cheap but has just what I want - big oven on top, pyrolytic clean on both overs, non-tip shelves, etc. Being delivered tomorrow so can't wait to experiment!

Put one of those in when we re-did our kitchen in last house. I miss it sooo badly....not cheap but not one complaint in the 7 years we used it.

hijacking this thread - any recommendations on a single wall oven?

If the single wall oven is anywhere near as good as this I would say go Electrolux. I've used it a few times now - so easy to use and clean. Love it.

I have a Westinghouse but not so happy with oven , the recommended rack for baking seems too high and the oven bakes unevenly ....I find browning is a bit one sided. Disappointing as my previous oven was the earlier version and I loved it .

Hi have not had any issues like that, just baked the courgette spiced cake came out brilliantly.
Westinghouse/ Electrolux have great customer service, give them a ringnpretty sure they will help. I had a problem with the door on the front loader, they were great. Good luck
