#Post

Just wondering if anyone has put potato's in the slow cooker with lamb shanks please. I always sit my lamb shank on an upturned plate

You could, need to be covered with the liquid and don't use floury ones, they'll disintegrate after long cooking.

They would be ok cooked in with the shanks, put them in at the same time as the meat though, as they can take a long time to cook, maybe if you cut them into quarters as well?

Some of the recipes I have made with potato in the crockpot, is to slice the potato and place it in bottom of the crock and put the meat on top.

I add potatoes to most meals I make in the slow cooker. Never had an issue yet. Yum, so delicious.

Yesterday's tea, small white potatoes, carrots, onions sliced, cauli and peas in the bottom of the slow cooker then place two lamb shanks on top and a small box of chicken stock just to cover the vegies on low for about eight hours.
