| Just wondering if anyone has put potato's in the slow cooker with lamb shanks please. I always sit my lamb shank on an upturned plate chookpan - 2019-03-14 11:56:00 |
| You could, need to be covered with the liquid and don't use floury ones, they'll disintegrate after long cooking. Edited by lythande1 at 12:10 pm, Thu 14 Mar lythande1 - 2019-03-14 12:10:00 |
| They would be ok cooked in with the shanks, put them in at the same time as the meat though, as they can take a long time to cook, maybe if you cut them into quarters as well? rainrain1 - 2019-03-14 12:13:00 |
| Some of the recipes I have made with potato in the crockpot, is to slice the potato and place it in bottom of the crock and put the meat on top. rainrain1 - 2019-03-14 12:14:00 |
| I add potatoes to most meals I make in the slow cooker. Never had an issue yet. Yum, so delicious. sleek_lizzy - 2019-03-14 12:49:00 |
| Yesterday's tea, small white potatoes, carrots, onions sliced, cauli and peas in the bottom of the slow cooker then place two lamb shanks on top and a small box of chicken stock just to cover the vegies on low for about eight hours. suziebee - 2019-03-14 13:29:00 |
