Zip Slow Cooker replacement part

#Post
1

I live in Perth Western Australia. I have just discovered my Zip 5L round slow cooker has sprung a leak. I am wanting to replace the ceramic pot as I love using it. Any ideas of a website I can order it from otherwise I will have to wait till I travel to NZ to buy it. I have sent an email to Briscoes so hoping that can help me.

Check out the op shops over there you might find a insert or perhaps a appliance that does go but the insert is still good

I have a round Zip too but after the temperature dial crumbled off and I had to use pliers I tried to find a replacement. None at Briscoes or other shops so I had to buy an oval one from Warehouse instead. My old Zip insert pot is still in perfect condition if you weren't so far away..

Get an oval shaped Breville. Far better.

Thanks for the heads up wasgonna. I have always owned a zip so was not sure what brand to buy/trust. I may just have to purchase a new one. Hubby has only just been to NZ. I may have family coming my way sometime this year to so looking at all options at the moment. I don't do much in them other than stock for soups and rice pudding or golden syrup dumplings.

Are they not available in Australian shops? I know that there are curious differences between countries because several Indian tenants have told me they've had to being pressure cookers from India because they couldn't find any in NZ shops.

I would get why Indians get pressure cookers from India. They come in all different sizes which you don't get over here. I have a 1L one that is very handy and then a 3L one. We can not find zip slow cookers in Australia. It seem exclusive to Briscoes which we don't have here. Perth also not as advanced as other city's in Australia so not many varieties of shops as you would find in eastern states. I will buy another zip slow cooker when I get to NZ. I have a 3L one that will do the job. Just need to cook in smaller quantities

A new slow cooker would be cheaper than a specially ordered insert.

Thanks everyone. Briscoes has come back and said they can not replace the bowl as they no longer make that model. Looks like I will be buying a new one when I am ready.
