Due to health issues I can no longer have dairy, tomatoes, citrus, spices. All acidic foods and condiments are out too. I just want something tasty. I have no allergies at all. What to eat that isnt salad amd steak.

I reckon petals suggestion, of fresh herbs for flavour is a good one.
Are you allowed onions & garlic?

Yep, love those and do use them alot. My favourite food is curry - Thai, Indian, Indonesian, then everything else spicy and now I cant eat any of it. The other day i did some some spuds in coconut milk, basil and lemon grass. Big mistake. Will leave out the lemon grass next time. It was seriously delicious. Im just tired of bland food. Its like 1975 at grandmas round here

That sounds tricky but really when you break it down you can still have any type of meat, poultry or seafood as well as any vegetables so not too limiting. But if it’s for the sake of your health then you just have to suck it up really. Is it just dairy from cows you can’t have?

I feel for you carter, I'd be upset if I had to give up things I love.
Is it permanent or temporary?
Mind you, in my experience you do attune to a new style of diet.
I gave up sugar in my coffee years ago & now I can't tolerate even a speck in it & I have given up on other things I love, but occasionally stuff up when the urge gets the better of me..
If it's a perma ban your taste buds will eventually get into line & down the track you may wonder why you even liked the stuff you've had to give up.
I do hope that you will find replacement flavours ...have you thought of using ms google, there must be many more people in the same position as you.
Best of luck.

Yoghurt is fine, cheese is too fatty and has horrific consequences no-one likes, milk is out, but i use almond milk or soy.

This is an Italian Seasoning Mix, for dressing, rubs, adding to stews, etc.
If some ingredients aren't allowed, try a substitute. I have a jar of this on the bench beside me all the time..... the flavour is divine

COPYCAT GOOD SEASONS ITALIAN DRESSING MIX
PREP TIME 5 mins TOTAL TIME 5 mins
Author: Judith Hannemann Makes: ½ cup mix

INGREDIENTS
• 1 Tablespoon garlic powder (not salt)
• 1 Tablespoon onion powder (not salt)
• 2 Tablespoons oregano
• 1 Tablespoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• ¼ teaspoon thyme
• 1 teaspoon basil
• 1 Tablespoon parsley
• ¼ teaspoon celery seed (see NOTES)
• 2 Tablespoons salt

To make up as dressing:
• 2 Tablespoons mix
• ¼ cup vinegar
• ⅔ cup oil
• 2 Tablespoons water

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

NOTES
For "zesty" variety: add a pinch (scant â…› tsp) of red pepper flakes. Add more if you like it really zippy.

For intensely garlic flavor: Add 1 tsp dehydrated minced garlic to the mix.

The same amount of celery salt may be substituted for the seed, however, make sure to subtract ¼ tsp of the salt called for in the recipe.

Note for clarity - all herbs are dried.

Maybe I don't understand - but wouldn't the issue have been with the milk, not the lemongrass?
I reckon coconut milk as a substitute would be great.
