#Post
1

Hi I was/am just so excited that today when I checked to see where on the line my DNA sample was sitting and I know they email you and I check daily lol It had suddenly moved from received to in testing (or what ever it says lol) and they told me first results will be sent around 12th March. I am like a kid in a lolly shop. Hope other that put them in around December are getting same messages :)

Who is the testing with?
My daughter brought kits down from the States [23andMe] and posted them when she arrived back on 01 Feb. Mine have been posted for a couple of weeks now.

Me & My family have all done ours with Ancestry, no regrets at all, so interesting, but lots of surprises.

My Husbands parents are not alive & he got his DNA done & immediately we could see connections from trees he fitted into, he got messages from people we couldn't see where he fitted.
I worked out how to split the DNA matches up from his mother & father even though they weren't alive, I could see the matches from his mothers side, but not his father. All these other matches on his fathers side all had the same family members as each other but not him. (All are all from the same town)

We decided to get his dad's brother tested as we wondered if maybe his father was adopted, his uncle came back "Not related".
So we thought, was the uncle adopted ?
We tested my sister inlaw & she WAS related to the uncle & came back as a 1/2 sibling to my husband.
So we now know his father, isn't his father - slowly matches are appearing & I think I've pinned down who his father maybe, one of my friends fathers.
She has just been tested & the results show be back in around 2-4 weeks.

Looking forward to that result.

Wow, that is so interesting. All my children have done there's. Still awaiting results. Can't wait as eldest son's dad died when I was pregnant and I know son has a brother and sister out there somewhere but no one knows where. Most of his direct family on his fathers side is deceased bar one half sister to his dad.

Well done to all you satisfied people. I sent off for a DNA test kit 5th Jan' and am still waiting for it to arrive. Sent to Living DNA. They very quickly accessed my bank for payment. Tried e-mails to find out what the delays are but todate no answers.

I got mine yesterday, originally they said 12th March, then 2nd March And I got them BUT lol they have just updated the Family Tree search so I am finding it hard from the new information from my DNA people/ family trees, to connect open family tree's to it. I can still do it fine from other places but as yet not from open trees connected to dna results.

Just wondering if you registered / activated the test on their site? And I know mine seemed so slow to show received and to move along the line it has but once it's near middle it goes fast as I say almost 3 weeks ahead of what they told me. Old on in there And keep checking online on the site

I get from that they sent for the kit and it has not arrived. I ordered from Ancestry on 15th Dec and it arrived in about 10 days.
