5 | Here's one for you 2sabar - I not only found this recipe for you, I absolutely recommend it because it's a favourite of ours and a special favourite of my elderly Mum's. DATE (and NUT) LOAF Place the dates in a bowl, then pour the boiling water over and sprinkle the baking soda over. Cover the bowl and leave until cold (overnight is ok). 245sam - 2012-07-20 22:16:00 |

7 | This is the one I make using my sticky date recipe 340g dates Beat Add a tsp of vanilla to your cold date mixture, then add alternating with 400g of self raising flour. All this can be done in a mixer at low speed when adding flour. Add a cup of chopped walnuts in the end. Makes one big loaf. Bake at 180c for an hour or until cooked. 11 | I have masterclass medium baking loaf tins. Not sure if you will enough mixture for two. You can make one tin and put the extras in muffin pan. If you take the nuts out then it makes a nice sticky date puddings. Just need to make the sauce then. Edited by marcs at 2:10 am, Sun 22 Jul marcs - 2012-07-22 02:10:00 |
