I will be there. Always good to catch up with other Trade Me sellers and buyers.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll make sure I'm there. Somebody evidently has promised to deliver me two large cartons of stamps there so i'd better leave some space in my car boot.

Looks as if the surface has been scuffed or the stamp dipped in something.

I'm pulling your chain btw on the posting up further ;-)

there is however quite a rare invert way back in the 1900 Pictorials - 4d Taupo with the blue picture centre inverted .. doesn't see alot of spotlight either

Some of the more informed on here mite be able to elaborate if further copies of this one have ever been found

cool thanks.... i will keep my eyes peeled... lolololol and you can have first choice if and when i come across one.....

lol - we try to avoid ones with strips missing damage and other curious adventures where parts have parted company etc etc- but do have quite a bag full of damaged on paper -- will let you know if we find anything similar amongst them ;-)

An interesting small article in today's paper for those with a sweet tooth:

"Belgium has launched a new stamp sure to delight chocoholics around the world "We have added a chocolate taste to the glue of the stamps... which you can taste when you lick it" the Belgian postal service said.

The design side carries pictures of chocolate in various forms. The series of 5 stamps, intended for overseas mail will cost 6.20 Euros (around $10.90)"

..

Perhaps our Postal Service should try something similar to sweeten everyone up to never ending changes & increases ? -- they mite sell a few more & at least get more of their new issues out there, so we can actually find some of the fleeting issues as they quickly sail past before gonded ;-)

A chocolate taste hmmmm !.
So the coffee tasting ones would be a variety then.

Why not Beer tasting, may get more collectors joining the hobby.
Bring out a set of 'Spirits' - Gin, Rum, Vodka, Whiskey etc.
LOL

I would ask them to prrove that and also your rights under consumer guarantee act, you paid for a service4 or the sender did and expect a level of service. I had a case where NZ post tried to quote a policy and condition of pruchase, but they dont display those policies etc at the place you do purchase, so they lost.

that's only the first fob off likely in the sequence

the next is likely to be -- "we dont sanction collectables being sent via post -- so no can do compo" ;-)

strange that -- all after they accepted the item and have been paid to do the send & deliver part ;-)

…so has an increase of posting cost slipped through or they are not bothered with ordinary 70¢ mail and only with larger or heavier letters.

I have recently received a set of UK post & Gos on A7 size envelopes. They did not go through the mail, cancelled to order but great for fitting on a page.

Logical guess -- would be Great Britain stamps - Queens Head & no country on them -- 1980's ?

1981 Royal Wedding - 14p & 25p values - not a lot of value in those ones
(light pale blue & light fawn backgrounds)

try -- www.allworldstamps.com

Stanley Gibbons online catalogue -- their price is in pounds sterling

Hi people I am new to stamps but have a Question . This Stamp
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/255511444.jpg
Is one of a large collection I have been left.
Looking in my Len Jury catalogue it is called a 1926 Admiral 3shilling Purple, Could some one give me an indication of the actual value please as in the catalogue it is $350.00 and I realise this is a retail price.
The colour is more purple than in the photo.
Thanks in advance.
